DIT and Nigerian Foundries Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a structured technician exchange programme between the two institutions.

Under the agreement, Foundry Technology students will spend their six-month SIWES placements on Nigerian Foundries' Lagos production lines, beginning with the January 2027 cohort.

Mutual capability

The MoU also provides for NF technical staff to spend periods at the DIT foundry complex — supporting curriculum reviews and contributing guest workshop sessions on patternmaking and melt-shop economics.
