Each of our schools answers to a distinct industrial need, from heavy fabrication and foundry work to laboratory science, computing and supply-chain management. Together they form a tightly coupled curriculum.
School of Engineering Technology
The institute's largest school covers mechanical, electrical, fabrication and materials engineering — encompassing computer engineering, mechatronics, welding & fabrication and foundry technology.
School of Science Technology
Laboratory technology and computing form the analytical backbone of the institute — equipping graduates for instrumentation, quality control, software systems and applied research.
School of General & Preliminary Studies
A shared academic foundation in communication, citizenship, mathematics and entrepreneurship that all DIT students complete in their first year.
School of Administrative & Business Studies
Procurement and supply chain management — a discipline of critical national importance to defence manufacturing and public-sector industrial operations.
